Join us for an afternoon in Prairie des Femmes w/ Ashlee Wilson, Prairie des Femmes researcher, artist and venéraire wild medicine keeper.

Ashlee Wilson has been learning from the plants and the people of her community in Prairie des Femmes, where the tall prairies once met the edge of the Atchafalaya Basin, for decades. 

Her research and regeneration of the prairie and bottomland hardwoods in her own backyard has been a lifelong practice of being in reciprical relationships with the place she calls home. In addition to her archival research and stories about Prairie des Femmes, Ashlee will also be sharing about the wisdom and traditional medicinal properties of the plant venéraire, also known as life everlasting.
